Dr Janani Kannan

Dr Janani Kannan is returning to the clinic in August 2025. 

She completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Tasmania in 2016. Dr Kannan started in General Practice as a Registrar in 2021 and has a special interest in Women's Health, Children's Health, Mental Health and Adolescent Health.

Dr Kannan enjoys meeting new people and being able to meaningfully help them with their healthcare, making sure they feel listened to, no matter how small the problem is. Dr Kannan is fluent in English and Tamil.

In her spare time, Janani enjoys drawing, hiking, spending time with family and listening to podcasts.
