Dr Batool Albatat
Dr Batool Albatat's inspiring journey to becoming a medical professional is a testament to her resilience and unwavering dedication. As a child, she fled the turmoil of the Gulf War in Iraq, but her determination led her to pursue her dreams. She graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Medicine degree and has since become a cherished member of the medical community.
With a heart filled with empathy and a commitment to excellence, Dr Albatat has amassed invaluable clinical experience across diverse medical settings. Spending four transformative years at Northern Health, her rotations in General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Paediatric Medicine have equipped her with a versatile skill set to address her patients' needs comprehensively.
Dr Albatat moved into general practice in 2022, starting at Gisborne Medical Centre and embarking on a fulfilling career as a general practitioner. In 2023, she dedicated her expertise to Riddell Country Practice before returning to Gisborne Medical Centre, where she continues to make a meaningful impact.
In her spare time, Dr Albatat finds solace in creative endeavours like drawing, crafting poetry, and weaving short stories. Cherishing moments with her two beloved boys, her vibrant spirit and zest for life enrich every interaction with patients and colleagues alike.
